The Holiday Region Kitzbüheler Alps St. Johann in Tirol – Oberndorf – Kirchdorf – Erpfendorf offers a wide range of natural resources and marvellous scenes. One of those scenes, the raised moss in St. Johann in Tirol, has been converted to an „natural“ adventure park.

Around the Gasthof Römerhof there is a huge raised moss with typical flora and fauna, which is unique in Europe.

The existing forest roads and hiking trails has been extended and are suitable for wheel chairs and prams. Themeboards explain the characteristics of the moss. From observation desks like on Hüttelmoos the visitors have a marvellous view over the nature. Furthermore the park offers an adventure playground and an “open air classroom”.
