The route from St. Johann in Tirol towards Salzburg offers, without doubt, one of the most beautiful hiking trails in the region: St. Johann in Tyrol - Oberndorf - Kirchdorf - Erpfendorf.
The Grießbachklamm gorge. The parking lot, from where the hike begins, is ca. 800 m after the Erpfendorf exit, on the right hand side (right next to the road).
The trail to the gorge is maintained with loving care to ensure nature is preserved. It is nonetheless easily to reach. Unspoilt natural beauty, crystal clear waters and romantic vistas along one of the most beautiful hiking trails will have you packing your backpack for more adventures.
